Turtle House Ink: A Home for Writers

As the new year begins, I’d like to let you all know that Turtle House Ink is moving away from its focus on writers over 50.

Turtle House Ink is simply a home for writers. I hope you will continue to come here and read the blog as we talk about the concerns of all writers–not just those over 50.

Stay tuned!

  1. Good idea. Writing should be ageless and timeless. I say just keep writing until the “lights” go out, but don’t quit writing if you’re not selling or getting published. Writing is about self-expression. Publishing is just the icing on the literary cake. And getting published doesn’t always mean nirvana. Certain publishers that have published some of my work, to be frank, didn’t make it a happy experience; but it sure didn’t stop me from continuing to write and to create. The journey is just as important, if not more so, than the arrival at your writing destination.

  2. Such a wise comment, Carmen. Thank you. It is easy to get discouraged if publishing is the only goal. So, yes, let’s enjoy the journey. That really is the main thing.
I’ve enjoyed expanding the blog to be a “home for writers.” I hope it will continue to be a place to stop by, chat, gain support, share ideas. A comfortable, welcoming place where we can kick off our shoes and slip into our writing clothes.
